Sarah Dembitz, Executive Director, UN Women

"My time with Vicki has been the most valuable & positive step I have ever made in my personal life"

It has helped to completely transform my outlook and approach to love & relationships. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that at the end of my 3 month coaching I met a man I can picture spending the rest of my life with.

— Kate Shepherd

SELINA: "My passion in life is learning what makes you come alive and then standing by the sidelines cheering you on while you fill your life with that stuff.

Designing a life from the heart isn’t always easy, it takes courage and commitment and the people who are willing to put in the work and make the commitment to do that are the people I want to hang out with.

I've been working with people for over 10 years, helping them to create lives, careers and relationships they love (more on what I’ve done below). I’ve coached everyone from TED Talk Speakers to new mums, to chart-topping rap artists to my 89 year old grandma and what I have found is that when you get right to the heart of a person we are all after the same thing: we want to feel alive and we want to feel loved.

And there is no better buzz than helping people create lives and careers that get them feeling that way and see them come alive in the process.

To get to play a part in that is a true privilege.

I feel like a very lucky lady. I love the life I live and the work that I do. But I also know that I didn’t get here by accident - I got here by design.

And now I want to help you get here too.

And I can’t wait to see your life flourish when you start to put love at the heart of it.

Selina Barker - Official bio

For the past 10 years Selina Barker has been making it her business to understand what it takes for people to feel truly happy and fulfilled in life and how they can design lives and careers they love.

She was co-founder of, then went on to run her own career coaching business, with TED Talk speakers, directors at Google and award-winning rap artists among her clients.

Her mission is to help people find what really makes them come alive and show them how to make that the focus of their life and work.

Thousands of people around the world have participated in her coaching programmes & online courses – from life design retreats in Goa to online programmes with over 300 global participants.

She has been featured in 6 best-selling books on career and lifestyle and was recently invited by Vogue to feature on a TV series on wellness.

For many years she lived a free range life, with her business in a bag, coaching clients and running courses as she explored and experienced the world – she travelled the UK for 6 months living and working in a yellow campervan named Beryl, she road-tripped down the coast of California and then back up again, she sailed past glaciers and pods of whales through the fjords of Chile, lived like an artist in BsAs and painted in the mountains of Canada.

She is now enjoying a new kind of adventure as a mother, living in London with her partner and their 2 year old son – something that wouldn’t have been likely to happen if it hadn’t been for Project Love...

VICKI: "The most valuable lesson I've ever learnt is that when it comes to love, anyone can be your teacher and therefore love is something you can learn.

It all began with a kitchen dance and Al Green. When I was age 15, I saw something I’d never seen before. I was over at my then boyfriend’s house on a Saturday night and I saw his parents dancing in the kitchen after dinner, laughing and playing.

There was such a sense of lightness and ease around them. It was the first time that I had witnessed a solid, happy and healthy relationship.

I’ve been fascinated by love ever since.

In 2013, I asked myself a question that would launch my career, 'what would you do if money was no object?' (Alan Watts - video here!) and honestly, it would be the work that I do today.

As a love coach, the most rewarding thing about my work is seeing women go from feeling incredibly stuck in love and helpless, like it's never going to happen for them to seeing a totally new perspective and realising that it's not a matter of 'if' it's going to happen, it's 'when'.

Whether it's receiving a client's email to say "after years of being single, I'm now in the healthiest relationship that I've ever experienced", to receiving a text to say "my whole experience of being single has changed and I would love to meet someone but I no longer feel in a rush" to seeing that a client I coached is now married, what I've learned is that love has the power to transform, from the way you experience being single to how you approach dating to how you show up in relationships.

I am so in awe of the brave women that I've worked with (letter of gratitude here) who continue to be curious about love in the same way I was all those years ago. I truly believe that love is the greatest practice that we can ever learn.
