Ep 144: Join us for a final reflection of 2021 and a virtual hug! 💛

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hello lovely,

Well here we are.. nearly at the end of 2021 and oof, what a year it’s been.

It’s been another rollercoaster year hasn’t it? Full of ups and downs, twists and turns and everything in between.

For many of us, it’s been a tough and challenging one and so if you’re feeling exhausted, fatigued and a bit fed up as 2021 draws to a close then you’re certainly not alone!

In this month’s podcast, we invite you to join us for a virtual hug 💛and an end-of-year reflection, as we look back at some of the lessons learnt and positive actions taken, despite everything that 2021 has brought our way.

If you have your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal then why not take yourself on a self love date to fill in the final reflection (the final reflection at the back is a new addition to the journal!).

As always, we find these conversations so nourishing and gorgeous. They are great reminders to take a pause and acknowledge just how much we’ve been through this year - both collectively and individually.

As we say in the Goodbye, Hello journal, if there were dreams and goals that didn’t come into fruition this year then be gentle with yourself. A lot of dreams have had to be put on hold over the past two years so that we could focus on looking after ourselves and those we love in the pandemic.

Getting through it has been an achievement enough so be compassionate towards yourself lovely one.

Sending you so much love and we hope you enjoy the episode.

Lots of love,

Vicki and Selina

Ep 140: Conversations on Love with Natasha Lunn

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hello lovely, it’s Vicki here, with a gorgeous podcast episode for you!

I had the privilege of sitting down with a fellow lover of love, Natasha Lunn, to talk about her new book Conversations on Love (which is INCREDIBLE!)

I love every single second of reading it. No exaggeration!

Each page offers a deeper understanding of what it means to love and be loved and what it means to live a life of meaning. I felt so in love reading it, which Natasha tells me was one of her aims with the book.

The book features interviews with the likes of Alain De Botton, Phillipa Perry, Esther Perel, Candice Carty Williams, Poorna Bell, Dolly Alderton, Roxane Gay, Diana Evans and many many more. It’s centered around three main questions (which we talk all about in the episode):

  • How do we find love?

  • How do we sustain it?

  • And how do we survive when we lose it?

I first met Natasha back in 2018 and I learn something new about love every time I talk to her. She speaks about love with such reverence and wisdom. Speaking with her is always SUCH a treat. And I just know you’re going to love this episode ❤️❤️❤️

As well as being a writer and author, Natasha is also the features director at Red magazine.

Conversations on Love is available now (it actually just came out today!!!) and you can grab your copy here. I know I’m going to be buying it for so many friends this Summer!

I love love loved this conversation with Natasha and I can’t wait for you to listen to it.

To find out more about Natasha, head over here and she is on Instagram here.
As always, if you loved this episode, please do let us know by leaving a 5 star rating wherever you listen to your podcasts.

So much love,

Ep 129: Real love story with Lisa Pascoe

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hi lovely,

Here at Project Love, we love to share and celebrate real love stories.

We love to go beneath the surface and have deep and meaningful conversations with people about their relationships, looking at things like; how they support each other to grow, how they navigate challenges, how they make love last and the lessons they’re learning along the way.

It’s in hearing people’s real love stories, that we can learn so much about love and what it takes for a relationship to thrive.

And this week’s episode is one of those episodes! It’s a real love story with the wonderful Lisa Pascoe, who reflects on her beautiful love story with her wife Bekky.

What I found so inspiring about Lisa and Bekky’s love story is their daily commitment to each other. In Lisa’s words, “everyday we recommit to the relationship we’re in, by choosing to be in that relationship”. How beautiful is that?

Lisa is an intuitive life coach and she brings invaluable advice and wisdom on life and love to this episode. She is all about being who you are and not who the world tells you to be. This message is at the heart of her podcast, Bravehearts Rising. And it’s really at the heart of this episode too.

In the episode, Lisa shares her experience of coming out, back in the 90’s when people only talked about the first three letters of LGBTQ+ and her journey to self acceptance. In her work, Lisa supports empaths, highly sensitive women and LGBTQ+ folks to slow down, hit the reset button and have a kinder, gentler relationship with themselves. She does this through 1:1 coaching (both online and in nature), wellbeing workshops and nourishing circles.

To find out more about Lisa and her wonderful work, head here www.lisapascoe.com (she’s also on Instagram here).

I loved recording this episode with Lisa.

I hope you enjoy it!

Love, Vicki x

Ep 123: Q&A | Vicki answers your dating and relationship questions!

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hi lovely,

Vicki here - I hope this email finds you safe and well ❤️

In today’s episode, I answer some of your questions on dating and relationships (thank you for sending those in!)

Really loved creating this episode for you. There were lots of questions relating to attachment theory (which is great as it is my favorite topic to talk about!).

Specific questions that I answered in the episode:

  1. Is it possible for an anxious and an avoidant person to develop a secure and loving relationship?

  2. How do you deal with an avoidantly attached partner who isn't always sure they want to repair their attachment issues?

  3. How do I start calling in a securely attached partner rather than the avoidant ones I usually find myself drawn to?

  4. My partner and I are exclusive but he said he’s not ready to call me his girlfriend yet. Is this a red flag?

  5. I’m just about to move in with my partner. What are your tips for starting the next chapter of our lives in lockdown?

  6. How do I find the balance in my relationship, so I don’t lose myself?

This is the gorgeous TED talk that I mentioned - The person you really need to marry | Tracy McMillan

Here is the wonderful book on Attachment theory that I mentioned - Attached by Dr Amir Levine and Rachel Heller.

Ooh and I wanted to also share this brilliant video from The School of Life on ‘How to Cope With an Avoidant Partner.

And lastly, how would you like to receive a (free) weekly love letter from me on topics like the ones explored in today’s episode?

Every Sunday, I am talking about topics like; dating for your attachment style, compatibility, the appeal of the unavailable ones, how to spot the red flags of relationship availability and lots more!

If you’d like to receive my love letters 💌 then head over here to sign up and your first letter will be sent this Sunday (at 5pm gmt)!

Really hope you enjoy this Q&A episode 😍😍😍

So much love, Vicki x

Ep 116: 7 lessons I’ve learnt about the anxious attachment style in love

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hiya lovely,

I’m so excited to share this week’s episode with you (my first solo one!) ✨

In the episode, I share the 7 lessons that I’ve learnt about love, dating and relationships as I celebrate 7 years of love coaching.

The lessons that I share are about what I’ve learnt when looking at my own relationship pattern through the lens of attachment theory (anxious attachment) and how this has shaped my love coaching work too.

Tune in to hear me share:

  • The three main Attachment styles and how they influence your mindset and attitudes to love, dating and relationships

  • Why anxious attachers are attracted to the people that are the least likely to meet their needs (inc why you’re attracted to the unavailable ones)

  • The Pursue-Withdraw pattern in relationships

  • The power of our minds in hindering or or helping us to move forward in our love lives

  • My own personal story of becoming more secure and fulfilled in love

  • The importance of self love and vulnerability on a dating journey

  • What it means to redefine your love blueprint to enjoy a happy and fulfilling love life

  • And so much more!

I absolutely loved recording this episode - I hope you enjoy it!

If you are listening to this episode feeling stuck in an unfulfilling relationship pattern like the ones I share, then I want you to know that change is possible. I really believe that with the right guidance and the willingness to learn and grow, that we can rewrite our relationship blueprints, to enjoy happy and fulfilling love lives.

I’ve just opened the doors to my 2021 love coaching programme - designed for women with an anxious attachment. This coaching programme is my absolute heart and soul and it contains everything I know, in 7 years of love coaching, about how to become more secure in love.

I’m holding discovery calls this month and in January. Come and check out vickipavitt.com (my brand new website 🤗) if you’re interested in joining me on this next adventure!

Ep 113: Dating in Lockdown 2.0 - with David and Ahmad from The Authentic Dating Series

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hello, it’s Vicki here and I have a brilliant episode for you today.

I got to speak to dating coaches David and Ahmad - to talk about Dating in Lockdown and how lockdown, with all of its restrictions, can be a really positive time for dating and making new connections with people.

David and Ahmad are dating coaches who empower men to create meaningful and passionate connections based on authentic expression and emotional intelligence. And they do that through their Podcast The Authentic Dating Series’, their talks, events and coaching.

In this episode, David and Ahmad share their own personal dating journeys and how they have overcome fears of commitment and the fear of rejection and it’s this male vulnerability (and how they celebrate this in the work that they do) that I love about these two - something that is so often missing from the dating conversation.

I really hope this episode supports you on your dating journey.

And if you are looking for some support and guidance on your dating journey and you’d love to have me as your love and dating coach, cheering you on as you go on dates, helping you to release dating anxiety and fears and supporting you through the ups and downs of modern dating then do reach out! Simply send me an email with the word ‘LOVE’ as the subject to vicki@vickipavitt.com and I’ll tell you all about the coaching that I offer.

I hope you enjoy the episode 💜

Ep 105: A fascinating conversation about love with Laura Mucha (author of ‘We Need to Talk About Love’)

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hello lovely, it’s Vicki here 👋

I have such a treat of an episode for you this week!

I got to interview Laura Mucha, who is the author of Love Factually: The Science of Who, How and Why We Love and We Need to Talk About Love (the paperback).

This book is such a fascinating read! It is the culmination of 10 years of extensive academic research and 10 years of interviews with hundreds of strangers, aged 8-95, across every continent around the world.

Laura Mucha is an ex-international lawyer and award-winning poet, writer and speaker. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, WNYC, ABC and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. The Guardian describes her as “a fantastic nosy parker” and Richard Curtis, creator of ‘Love Actually’, describes her book "as much better and more useful than my film". Wow - what a testimonial!

I loved reading Laura’s book. I’ve never come across a book that covers the ins and outs of love with such depth before. The book takes you on a journey that explores love and loss, infidelity and commitment, dating, monogamous relationships, non-monogamous relationships. Attachment theory and so much more. As well as talking about the lightness of relationships, the book also talks about the darkness of them too, including the complexities and nuances of abuse in relationships. We talk all about this in the episode and included below is a list of resources relating to abuse.

In this episode, we also talk about some of the most important lessons that Laura has learnt about love, in over a decade of research and interviews (including how it impacted her relationship with her ex partner who is now her husband!). And we talk about Attachment theory (which is actually the focus for Laura’s next book). I had sooo many questions on Attachment theory, that we’ve decided that Laura is going to come back onto the podcast to talk more about this fascinating topic. Also linked here is last year’s episode on Attachment theory with Psychologist Helen Dent (our most popular podcast episode!) and here is the episode about Attachment theory and dating.

This conversation with Laura is PACKED FULL of so much wisdom about love, I can’t wait for you to listen to it!

And before you do, I wanted to let you know that I have a couple of places left on my 3 month love coaching programme, starting in September and October this year.

This programme is my absolute heart and soul and it would be such a privilege to work with you if you’re feeling the call and you’re wanting some guidance and support on your love and dating journey.

If you are interested in working with me 1:1 this year and you would love to have me as your personal love coach and dating wing woman for three months then do get in touch - I would love to hear from you! Simply head on over here to find out more and to book in your discovery call!

I hope you enjoy the episode 💕💕💕

Ep 2 Life in Lockdown | Dating in Lockdown

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hi lovelies,

How are you doing?

Here in the UK we are still in lockdown and it’s now been over 50 days. Phewf. If you missed it last week, we are back with our weekly podcast and while the lockdown continues in the UK, each weekly podcast episode will be focused on ‘Life in Lockdown’.

In last week’s episode we shared our own experiences of living in lockdown and how we were juggling working from home while sharing the space with partners, pets and kids, plus some of the topics that have been coming out of our weekly online Project Love LOVE-INs that we’ve been running every Monday, over on Zoom, since the lockdown began in the UK (have you joined us for one yet? They’re free and like one gorgeous group hug - head over here to find out more and sign up to join the next one!).

Now, this week we’re talking about dating during lockdown. Believe it or not it is a great time to be dating! Vicki shares how her clients have been finding that dating during lockdown has actually opened up the opportunity for more connectedness, playfulness and more meaningful conversations. Whether you’re using dating sites or dating apps, we talk about how people are finding creative ways to go on dates via Zoom and the love stories that are emerging out of this crazy lockdown period.

So whether you’re dating or you just love hearing about love stories, head on over to wherever you listen to your podcasts and tune in!

You can also listen over on our website here:

And if you are wanting some support and guidance on your dating journey then Vicki has just opened up a couple of spaces on the The Get Ready for Love coaching programme (starting in June). This is such a special journey, where you have Vicki as your personal love coach and dating wingwoman for 3 months. I was Vicki’s first love coaching client and I cannot recommend her coaching enough! Simply head over here for all of the details and to book in your discovery call!  💕

EP 100: Real Love Story interview with Nina

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hello lovely 👋, it’s Vicki here, with a gorgeous real love story podcast for you 💖

Today’s episode (recorded in Feb) is an interview with Nina, who I met back in 2014 when we were launching the pilot for the Get Ready for Love course.

Nina was one of the 14 women who Selina and I wrote a Valentine’s Day card to, to invite them onto the journey of getting ready for love. In the episode, Nina shares the key milestones from her own Get Ready for Love journey and the valuable lessons she’s learnt along the way.

This is such a beautiful love story, not only because Nina shares her story about her partner Adam, but also her own self-love journey and I can’t wait for you to listen to it!

And if you are also wanting to go on your own Get Ready for Love journey then I am currently offering a discount on my 121 coaching programme, where all coaching sessions will be hosted via Zoom while we are self-isolating.

It may be that you’re thinking this could be a strange time to begin the dating journey, but with more people staying at home, dating apps are seeing a rise in usage – with messages, telephone calls and FaceTime. I’ve been having some great conversations with my existing clients about this and many of them are really enjoying dating virtually and actually finding this to be much more relaxed. You may not feel in the right headspace to date at all, and this won’t suit everyone, but if you are wanting to stay connected, then give telephone / FaceTime dating a try! 🙌

The Get Ready for Love programme that I offer is focused on creating the right conditions for a happy and fulfilling relationship, starting with yourself, and so it’s a process of self-love and self-development as much as a dating journey. If you’d like to join me on this journey of transformation, then I would LOVE to hear from you. Get in touch at Vicki@loveprojectlove.com or alternatively, head over toloveprojectlove.com/lovecoaching where you’ll find all the details.

I hope you enjoy the episode 💕💕💕

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on iTunes, Spotify or wherever you enjoy listening to your podcasts

Hi lovely, it’s Vicki here - I hope you’re well!

I’m so excited for you to listen to this week’s podcast episode as I got to interview Matchmaker and sex consultant, Asa Baav.

Asa is the founder of Tailor Matched – an offline dating consultancy in London for the wild at heart, which matches you on sexual compatibility (as well as overall compatibility).

I first met Asa last year when she invited me onto the panel of a dating event she was hosting. I was really drawn to her mission of wanting to normalise the conversation around sex and to remove the taboo around sexual compatibility. In this episode, we talk about:

  • Asa’s own journey to sexual liberation and lessons she learnt along the way

  • How she came to be a Matchmaker and how it’s transformed her life

  • Intimacy and why sexual compatibility matters

  • How to have conversations about sexual desires

  • How to approach online dating in a way that facilitates connection

  • Sex education, porn, orgasms and so much more!

This was such a fascinating conversation and I can’t wait for you to listen to it!

And before you do, I wanted to let you know that I have two spots left on my 3 month love coaching programme, Get Ready for Love. This coaching programme is my absolute heart and soul and it would be such an honour to work with you if you’re feeling the call to work with me 1:1 this year. I have two spots left. If you’d like one of those spots to be yours then head on over here to find out more and book your discovery call!

And finally… come and join us for 28 Days of Love - starting tomorrow 14th Feb! It's our self-love challenge that that gets you into a daily habit of doing one loving thing for yourself each and every day (and it's free!). Head on over to here to find out how to do it and join us over on IG where we'll be sharing self-love tips and sharing YOUR daily acts of love. EP 76: Real love story interview with Alexandra Gill

Hello! Vicki here, with a gorgeous podcast episode for you 🤗

Today’s episode is a real love story interview with Alexandra Gill, who reflects on her journey of going from someone who was single for her whole adult life (in her words) and thinking that a relationship just wasn’t going to happen for her, to going through the journey of getting ready for love and marrying her best friend (her wedding was just last month).

This is such a special story, I was moved to tears on a number of occasions because I know the courage that it takes to open your heart, to trust and to commit to love. Particularly when you have lost faith in love, which is where Alex was back in 2016.

This is a story of love, hope and courage and I can’t wait for you to listen to it 💕

You can have a listen to the episode above or over on Apple Podcast or Spotify.

And if are interested in going on your own journey of getting ready for love then I’m so happy to announce that I have just opened up the doors to new love coaching clients for the Autumn season and I have a handful of spots for you to work with me 1:1.

The Get Ready for Love coaching programme is my absolute heart and soul and it would be an honour to work with you if you’re feeling the call. If you are and you’re ready for the journey of transformation then I would love to hear from you.

EP: 71 Real love story interview with Lauren Leopold (Vicki’s former client!)

Vicki here! I have the most beautiful and inspiring real love story podcast for you today in celebration of me opening the doors to working with new love coaching clients this Summer. It’s really exciting to announce this to you for the first time in 3 years (where there has been a waiting list for love coaching since 2016!).

Tune in to listen to this weeks’ episode where you’ll hear Lauren’s beautiful love story and journey of self love and transformation.

Lauren wrote to me back in 2015 when her self esteem and confidence were at an all time low, feeling stuck in a toxic and unhealthy relationship. All around her were friends getting married and buying houses together and she couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe it just wasn’t going to happen for her like it had for so many of her friends. She had convinced herself that she would always feel anxious around men, that she was hard to love and that she was unworthy of a loving relationship.

In 2016, I started working with Lauren and took her through the 3 month Get Ready for Love 121 coaching programme and I witnessed her grow and transform and open up to love in the most beautiful way. Over the course of the sessions, Lauren’s confidence started to grow, she started to get to know herself (and actually quite like herself!) and over time, she became available to the loving and secure relationship that she now knew that she deserved.

Cut to today and she has just returned from the most magical wedding in Devon where she married her best friend, surrounded by the people she loves most in the world.

Lauren’s story is such a wonderful example of someone who turned her love life around. It wasn’t easy and she faced a lot of fears along the way but she had the courage and the willingness to learn and grow and do the work and that was key to her transformation.

If Lauren’s story resonates with you and if you too dream of being in a loving and secure relationship then know that you can make that dream come true. Don’t give up on that dream or leave it up to fate or chance. With courage and the willingness to learn and grow, you too can change the course of your love life, just like Lauren did. I am so passionate about working with clients on the journey of getting ready for love and I can’t wait to hear from you if you are ready for that journey too!

If you would like to be one of the four new clients I am taking on this summer on my 3 month love coaching programme then head on over here to check out the programme. If it sounds like just what you need, then fill in the form to book in a discovery call with me - I have put aside time in my diary to talk to you next week (w/c 24th June).

I hope you enjoy the podcast!

When it comes to dating, the whole question of when you should text, how much you should text, why haven’t they texted, what does that mean?! is a flipping minefield.

When I was dating I spent sooo many precious hours of my life worrying about what texts (or lack of texts) meant and how I should respond.

The most BEAUTIFUL love story

We have the most moving, inspiring and utterly beautiful love story to share with you this week.

It’s the story of Syreeta Challinger and Rob Mackenzie, founders of Moments Of Sense & Style (MOSS), who are honestly one of the most inspiring couples you’ll ever meet.

Syreeta and Rob share their story of meeting in Hong Kong (where they both lived and worked), falling in love and how their whole world was turned upside down when Rob suffered a brain haemorrhage and stroke while they were on holiday in Sydney back in 2014.

They talk about love and loss, hope and strength, the healing powers of creativity and how this led them to create MOSS, a brand and business that aims to create light out of the darkness.

This is a story that illustrates the power of love like no other and a reminder that ‘no matter the struggle, there is always a way through’ (Syreeta’s beautiful words).

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on Apple Podcast (iTunes) and Spotify.

PODCAST: ‘Get Ready for Love’ series | EP: 7 ‘Isn’t finding love just down to fate?’

If there is even a small part of you that believes that maybe finding love really is just all down to fate, then you need to listen to today’s episode.

It could be that very belief that is stopping you from opening up and allowing love to find you.

It’s time to take finding love out of the hands of fate once and for all!

PODCAST - ‘Get Ready for Love’ series | EP: 6 ‘Dating + Attachment | Q&A with Psychologist and Attachment style expert Helen Dent

So this week we have a very special guest on the GRFL podcast! Vicki interviewed Helen Dent, a clinical and forensic Psychologist, Attachment style expert and author of “Why Don't I Feel Good Enough?: Using Attachment Theory to Find a Solution” and we talked all about attachment styles and how our style can underlie our dating behaviours (and the dating behaviours of others). Here is a quiz where you can discover your style!

Vicki asked all of the questions that you sent in (thank you for those), including ‘how to spot the signs of emotionally unavailable men?’ and ‘how to recognise if you yourself are being emotionally unavailable?’. It was SUCH a fascinating conversation!

🎧 You can also listen to this and all of our other podcasts on Apple Podcast (iTunes) and Spotify.

For more on attachment theory then check out ‘Using attachment theory to help our relationships to grow’, which is the podcast that Vicki also recorded with Helen.

We hope you enjoy the episode!
